Hi there! My name is Arthur Wilmoth. According to my folks, it wasn’t long after I learned to walk that I took an interest in martial arts. What started out with karate classes at the mall soon moved to boxing at the community center, joining the high school wrestling varsity, rounded off with a few years on the amateur wrestling circuit.
After a few injuries that made a career as a professional wrestler pretty much impossible, I still practice martial arts to keep in shape, but competitions are out of the question. Instead, I decided to start this blog to help share knowledge, ideas and experiences. It’s my hope that by sharing this information, I can help other people avoid the injuries I suffered and the mistakes I made.
There’s a lot that I learned later on in my martial arts career that I wish I had known earlier. Growing up, the only Internet we had was dial-up which was slow and unreliable. There was also a sore lack of information websites to provide information on martial arts and what to do or not to do. It’s my hope that by starting this blog, I’ll be able to contribute to the growing resource base for aspiring martial artists.
